• A desktop or laptop computer (Mac or PC) or a mobile device (iOS or Android). I cover Mac, Windows, iPhone, iPad, and Android devices. You need only one of these, not all.

When this course is completed, you will feel comfortable in Canva and know how to make beautiful things! Your options will be limitless.  

What else should I have for this course?

• A FREE Canva account (no worries if you don't have one yet — I'll tell you exactly how to get one!)
• Everything else is totally optional! I don't just show you how to design, I show you how to turn those designs into actual projects, so you may also want the supplies and tools to make the projects for each unit (optional, but encouraged). I use tools like a color inkjet printer, a cutting machine, a sublimation printer, and a heat press. You're welcome to learn without making, of course. If you do make the projects, I offer full and complete project supply lists for each unit, available as soon as you enroll!

What if I’m not tech savvy?

If you can click, drag, and drop, you can design in Canva. It’s one of the most beginner-friendly tools I’ve ever taught, and I’ll walk you through it on desktop, tablet, and phone.

Do you provide the supplies and tools for the course?

No, you are responsible for purchasing your own supplies and tools. But I offer tips on where to find them and what works best!

Can this course help me if I'm not creative / not a designer?

Creativity is a skill, not an inborn talent. Canva is built to be beginner-friendly, and I teach you the skills to be creative! I’ll show you how to make designs that look professional even if you’ve never created anything before. Design is learned through practice, not perfection—this course gives you guided steps so you gain confidence right away.

Can this course help me if I am a Cricut crafter?

Totally! Canva gives you the freedom to design custom graphics, printables, labels, cards, stickers, and more—things you can then bring right into your Cricut projects.

Instead of relying only on ready-made SVGs or fonts, you’ll learn how to create designs that match your exact style and project needs. That means:

How long will the course take?

You can expect each unit to take 1 hour to learn and 1-3 hours to make, depending on the project. I recommend doing one unit per week to avoid overwhelm. This gives you time to watch, learn, and make! If you enroll in the Platinum Tier with all 12 units, the course is approximately 12 weeks long (assuming you take 12 weeks -- you may take more or less time, it's entirely up to you).

Are the classes live?

No. All videos are pre-recorded and professionally edited to ensure maximum learning in a distraction-free environment. All classes are also professionally captioned.

Is it all video, or is any of it written out?

I believe that we learn in a variety of ways, so I offer different ways to learn in my courses — there are full and complete videos, yes, but there are also professionally-made and edited digital workbooks with the text and photos for every step as well.

How much does it cost to enroll?

All units in CREATE TO ELEVATE build off the prior units, and I introduce key concepts, tips, and tricks throughout the units that are important to understand for good design. We ask that all students, regardless of their experience or knowledge level, progress through units in order to ensure we are all on the same page as we work through projects. Thus, it is not possible to sign up for just 201, or just 301. Thank you for understanding!

If I begin at Silver, can I upgrade later?

Yes, you can contact us at vip@jennifermaker.com to request an upgrade! Please note that our pro-rated upgrade fees are calculated based on the current fee for the tier at the time of upgrade, not the price it would have cost to upgrade when you first enrolled.
