Meet Gjoa Crandell

My name is Gjoa (pronounced Jo-ah, rhymes with Noah).

I have three kiddos, although two are grown and out of the house. Everyday I wonder how time goes by so fast that I have two adult “kids”. I work full time but hope to grow this little side gig into a full-time job. 

I love to craft and create ALL THE THINGS! Ever since I was a child, I can recall making things and being creative.  I purchased my first Cricut a few years ago when my youngest daughter wanted a shirt for her brand new elementary that didn’t yet have spirit shirts. Although I enjoy making shirts and signs (along with many other projects), I really fell in love with designing.  My shop name, Special Heart Studio, is also inspired by my baby girl. She was born with a CHD (Congenital Heart Disease ) that required open-heart surgery at 9 days old. She is now on her third pacemaker and thankfully, is very healthy.  I’ve always told her she has a special heart.
